395) Brazilia 70 and the Chico Lopez All-Stars — “Trouble Spot”
This instrumental is “[e]xtremely funky fuzzed-out UK rocky jazz with a Mexican twist that works on the dancefloor!” (https://soundsoftheuniverse.com/sjr/product/brazilia-70-and-the-chico-lopez-all-stars-south-of-the-border-1970) Abaraphobia calls the song a “wonderful electric guitar freakout”. As to the label, Discogs informs us that:
Deacon was a short lived British budget label based in London in the early 1970’s. . . . By the end of 1971 Deacon expired and was replaced by the successor label Windmill. . . . Remarkable are the many cover version releases that lacked any artist or mention an otherwise unknown band.https://www.discogs.com/label/108270-Deacon-Records
An otherwise unknown band, yes, I think we have that here. I have been unable to find any information on Brazilia 70 or on the Chico Lopez All-Stars. If anyone know anything, please let me know!
